Te Puia Maori Arts and Crafts and Wai-O-Tapu
(Half Day/5hrs):
You travel to Wai-O-Tapu through lush farmlands and to the edge of the Kaiangaroa Forest, the largest man made forest in the world to the thermal wonderland of Wai-O-Tapu. Here you will see the Lady Knox Geyser erupt at 10.15am. You then walk through the thermal park viewing the Champagne Pool, boiling mud and hissing fumeroles along with an ever changing kaleidoscope of colour. The park tour will take between 1-2 hours. You will return via Te Puia Maori Arts and Crafts where you will see boiling mud, Pohutu Geyser, Kiwi birds and the ancient skills of wood carving and greenstone jewellery being sculptured.

Ohinemutu, St. Faiths Church, Paradise Valley Springs and Agrodome (Half Day/5 hrs - this can be split into a morning or afternoon tour)
You travel to Ohinemutu and see the famous St. Faiths Church. The Agrodome where there is a live sheep shearing demonstration, cow milking and live sheep dog demonstrations, and the opportunity to see a working NZ farm, wool carding and weaving demonstrations.
Paradise Valley Springs is a pristine wildlife sanctuary which is set in a beautiful valley at the back of Mt. Ngongotaha. Here you will see Rainbow and Brown trout in their natural habitat that can be viewed from an underground viewing window. There is a vast assortment of native bird and wildlife and, at 2.30pm daily, there is lion feeding, Paradise Valley Springs also bottles water from its own spring, Te Waireka. The water, which has been known for centuries as “sweet water”, reputed to be over 200 years old.

Rotorua Museum, Buried Village, Lake Tarawera and Kuirau Park (Half Day):
By visiting the Rotorua Museum you can view a short (8minute) movie which depicts the history of early Maori and an overview of the Mt. Tarawera eruption of 1886. This will give an excellent insight into the thermal wonderland of the Rotorua district. We then visit the Blue and Green lakes, Buried Village and see the resulting ruins of the 1886 Tarawera eruption. On the return journey we view Lake Tarawera.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Waimangu Volcanic Valley (Half or Full Day):
We drive along the edge of the Kaingaroa Forest to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Here we see the Lady Knox geyser which erupts at 10.15am each day.
Walking in the Waimangu Volcanic Valley (an easy downhill jaunt) you will see the Echo Crater, Frying Pan Lake (the world’s largest hot water spring) and Inferno Crater prior to a short boat ride past where The Pink and White Terraces once stood. To add to the relaxing walk takes us down through the magical wonders and thermal activity of this valley. A free shuttle bus returns us back to the ticket office where your journey began.

Waitomo Caves:
There are a number of cave choices at Waitomo. Firstly, the famous Glowworm Caves or the Rurakuri Cave or a combo of both. Secondly, for the more adventurous, there is the Spellbound Eco-Tour of the Mangawhitikau Glowworm Cave. This is a full day tour which also includes a visit to a German Angora rabbit exhibition.
There is a complimentary light luncheon included plus personal escort/guide and complimentary pick up.

Thrillseekers Tours (Full Day):
Wet ‘n’ Wild offers the thrillseeker a choice of five different rafting spots, ranging around grade 4-5. All equipment is provided and a very strong emphasis is put on safety. Average time is 3hrs. The Zorb is a “must do” and exciting experience, racing down the hillside inside a large vinyl ball. It is a cross between a waterfall and a rollercoaster.
Skyline Skyrides and the luge is a popular stop for lunch to see the view over Lake Rotorua and can be incorporated in most of the tours.

White Island - Whakatane (Full Day tour)
White Island (or Whakaari as it was named by the Maori before Europeans arrived) lies 48 kilometres off New Zealand's Bay of Plenty coastline and is an active volcano.
We drive from Rotorua around Lake Rotoiti to Lake Rotoma past Lake Rotoehu over the Rotoma Range and into Whakatane, from here you board Pee Jay White Island Tours.
This active volcano and private scenic reserve is accessible by boat and helicopter. It is unique in that visitors to the island can walk right inside its main crater just above sea level with a minimum of physical effort and without undue risk. This allows you to experience at first hand nature's immense power as gas and steam burst up from far below the Earth's crust.

Lake Taupo - Orakei Koraka (Full Day tour)
Travel to the Aratiatia Rapids then onto the famous Huka Falls. We then travel onto Lake Taupo (size of Singapore) then back to NZ River Jet for a journey down the Waikato River where we see Orakei Koraka, the Hidden Valley.
This is a full day of magnificent and river beauty mixed with some amazing volcanic activity.
